HPL faced board(MDF or Particleboard)

HPL Bonded board is comprising of HPL surface on both sides or one side of substrate.Substrate could be MDF orparticleboard(chipboard).As most used laminate board in decoration, it combines advantages of HPL and melamine board.HPL surface ensures high fire-resistance,anti-moisture while melamine board offers a solid panel with reasonable price.It is widely used from wall panel,tabletop to toilet door and cabinet.

1.Digital print HPL
·Laminate impregnated custom decor paper and kraft paper to pro duce custom printing HPL.
· Back side sanded to facilitate bonding with substrate .
· Leave 6mm overlap area on each edges for trimming

2 . Substrate / tool preparation
· Substrate would be MDF or particle board which was pre-processed to size needed with flat surface.
· Preparation of adhesive for HPL / Carbide-tipped milling machine
· Bonding process is suggested to be finished in dry environment
Generally, vinyl or neoprene adhesive (especially in industrial adhesive bonding applications), resorcinol or epoxy resin are used as the adhesive for HPL bonding

3. Bonding process
·Spray or brush adhesive for HPL carefully
·Start bonding with one side patiently.Several wood slip are suggested to be placed for better bonding
·Rolling or cool pressing to leave vacuum space between substrate and HPL,which helps well-distribution of adhesive
· Both sides bonded with HPL to ensure endurablity

4. Trimming
·After bonding, overlap edges would be processed by trimming machine to keep flat and smooth edges.
·Wipe off remaining adhesive
